The Little Paw experience is all about celebrating your pet and the special bond you share. Whether in the studio, outdoors or in the comfort of your own home, each session is tailored to highlight your pet's unique personality and the moments you cherish. From playful action shots to heartwarming portraits, my goal is to create a relaxed and fun experience for both pets and their people.
Digital images are great for sharing on social media and saving to your phone's wallpaper but one hard drive failure, lost USB or drowned iPhone and your images are gone forever. Print the images that you love and enjoy looking at them every day. No one shows off their flash drive to friends and family, but they will love to see them on the walls of your home or in a stunning personalised album.
I am based in Timaru, where I have a beautiful studio space perfect for pets and their families. I also love to travel around South Canterbury and beyond to capture pets in their happy places, whether that is at the beach, going on a walk to their favourite spot, or in the comfort of your own home.
As a proud pet parent myself, I know the joy and the love that our pets bring us everyday. My goal is to create beautiful images that you will treasure forever - because they are truely family!
The studio is based in the Royal Arcade in central Timaru. I am happy to travel anywhere within South Canterbury though and often further so please ask.
Yes of course! While it helps if you dog has some basic commands such as sit and stay this is not essential. Many of the dogs I photograph aren't well trained and we can still get beautiful images.
Absolutely! Capturing your unique bond with your pet is so important and something I love to do!
Of course! Dogs are the most popular pets to photograph but I am more than happy to photograph any other pets you have, including cats, rabbits, horses, birds and even reptiles - I'm up for anything!
Yes definitely! I've done many sessions where dogs need to be on leash. Safety is always of utmost importance. And let me tell you a secret - many of the dogs I have photographed both indoors and outdoors are actually on a leash!
This will depend on the type of session you want and how many animals and/or people are going to be involved. The different session types have an approximate session time but if you pet needs more time, I will never rush a session and give them the time that they need.
Don't worry, I have lots of patience and will never rush your dog. I always adapt my approach to suit the animal. If in the studio, I can turn lights off, if we are outdoors, I can use a longer lens and keep a bigger distance, but for particularly anxious dogs, often home is their happy place so I will usually suggest a session there.
If the weather isn't looking great and we have an outdoor session booked, we can easily reschedule. Or if you prefer to go ahead anyway we can always switch to the studio or at your home.
Yes I have Zip available as well as an 'in house' laybuy option.
